The Green Bay Packers have announced that receiver Christian Watson, who left action two weeks ago against Kansas City, is doubtful against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a hamstring injury. Watson was a non-participant in Thursday and Friday practices this week and was estimated as a non-participant for the team’s walkthrough on Wednesday.
The Packers got a mixed bag of news at the receiver position, even beyond Watson. Receiver Dontayvion Wicks, who is dealing with an ankle injury, was listed as questionable on Friday, but fellow rookie Jayden Reed, who was initially evaluated in the concussion protocol, will be a full go against Tampa Bay.

Along with Wicks, the following players were also listed as questionable by the Packers: cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder), running back Aaron Jones (knee), inside linebacker Quay Walker (shoulder), running back AJ Dillon (thumb), safety Darnell Savage (shoulder) and cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring).
The running back position, like receiver, is worth highlighting due to multiple injuries. Head coach Matt LaFleur seemed optimistic that Jones and Dillon would play against the Buccaneers, but wouldn’t go as far as to guarantee their participation. If they can’t go, expect a healthy dose of Patrick Taylor — who has been a significant contributor since being poached off of the New England Patriots’ practice squad.
Outside linebacker Kingsley Enagbare (thumb), left guard Elgton Jenkins (shoulder), cornerback Keisean Nixon (quadricep), safety Jonathan Owens (knee) and defensive lineman T.J. Slaton (quadricep) join Reed in the camp of players who were given injury statuses earlier this week but are full goes versus the Buccaneers. In practice on Friday, the only non-participants were Watson and Savage, for perspective.
Tampa Bay is as banged up as the Packers are right now. Their starting nose tackle Vita Vea (toe) has been listed as doubtful by the team after not practicing all week. Cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle/foot), receiver Chris Godwin (knee) and linebacker Devin White (foot) all were listed as questionable on the Buccaneers’ injury report. Starting cornerback Carlton Davis has already been ruled out.
