Bryan Adams is now self-sufficient!

On Friday, August 2, the well-known “Summer of ’69” inventor, 64, revealed the launch of his own independent record label, Bad Records, according to NME. Adams has also released a new double A-side single vinyl to commemorate the launch of the label. The tracks “War Machine” and “Rock and Roll Hell,” which he co-wrote with Jim Vallance and Gene Simmons for the 1982 KISS album Creatures of the Night, are now officially released on Bad Records.

With a music video that features Adams performing on the roof of London’s Royal Albert Hall during his recent three-night residency, “Rock and Roll Hell” is currently accessible digitally.

Adams stated in a statement provided to the newspaper that he “co-wrote” the two songs “when I was a 22-year-old struggling songwriter.”

“I got a call out of the blue from producer Michael James Jackson to see if I would like to write for KISS, which I was thrilled to do, and these are a couple of the songs that were the result, written with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance,” he said.

Regarding the origin of “War Machine,” the lyricist said, “Gene played me this amazing bass riff, which ended up being the core of ‘War Machine,’ while we were sitting with the band. I came up with the title while attempting to come up with a possible theme to go along with the riff. War was the natural concept to go along with the other song we’d written, since that one was about hell.”

As for the other track, Adams said that ” ‘Rock and Roll Hell’ was actually Jim’s song that had been released a few years earlier with Bachman Turner Overdrive, and I suggested, that we rewrite it for KISS.”

“It’s incredible to think these themes are unfortunately still playing out for real in the world today, but I’m very grateful to the KISS guys for giving me the chance back then,” he said.

Adams’ official web store is presently accepting preorders for the double A-side single vinyl.
