The Paris track and field prediction contest is worth $200,024 and….

The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway and the track and field action is about to heat up.

Playing in the $200,024 LetsRun.com Paris Prediction Contest will make Paris even more interesting for the casual and hard core track fan. Please spread the word

The contest is very simple. You pick the top 3 in all the running events from our guide. You get points for how many picks you get correctly. We score your picks and determine a winner. You don’t need a lot of knowledge of track & field to play and we encourage you to invite your friends to play in a group.

We provide a list of the top entrants together with a selection guide, ensuring that everyone has a fair shot. A 13-year-old won our Marathon Trials competition.

How about the prizes?

In addition to lifelong bragging rights, this year’s winner will earn a four-year membership to our Supporter’s Club, the runner-up will receive a two-year membership, and the third place winner will receive a one-year membership.

Ideal Ballot Bonus

$200,024 Perfect Ballot: 1 winner maximum (if more than one winner they will split the reward). The perfect ballot incentive will be handed out equally over 10 years. A perfect vote indicates that you chose first, second, and third in the correct order for all events in the competition.

$20,024 Perfect Distance Ballot has a maximum of three winners. If you correctly identify the top three in the 800, 1500, 5000, 10k, steeple, and marathon events, you will receive the ideal distance bonus.

We offer a feature that allows you to update your picks until around 10 minutes before a specific event starts. The first event (men’s 400m) concludes at 6:20 p.m. ET on Friday. You also do not have to enter all of your picks at once.

Scoring
The scores are as follows:

Each participant you properly select to finish in the top three receives one point.
It makes no difference whether you make the perfect choice. If you pick someone first and they finish third, you still get a point. The reverse is also true. Even if you chose them to finish third, they will only receive one point.

Each correctly selected event winner earns 3 additional points.
Each event was correctly picked – all three picks: first, second, and third in the correct order resulted in two more points.

Do you fully grasp the rules? The sample below should answer any questions you have. If you successfully pick first, second, and third place in any event in the correct sequence, you will receive 3 points (1 point for each individual in the top 3) + 3 points (for correctly picking the winner) + 2 points (extra for picking the top three in order) = 8 points.

More points are preferable.

Play in a group versus your friends.

In our contest, you can create your own group and play against your friends.

Rules

Oh yeah, only one entry per person. No computerized/mechanical entries. We’re sure we should have a bunch of legal stuff here. How about this: your picks and your login name are not private and may be displayed on our website. And we’re not responsible if the free contest gets cancelled for any reason including if our database crashes. If the contest is cancelled, the prizes will not be awarded. We’ll do our best to keep everything running smoothly. The top 3 in any event are final when we determine them at the end of the meet and this may not be the ultimate final top 3 (mainly due to drug busts in the future). Additionally, this contest is obviously void where prohibited by law – which states and countries that is, we don’t know. Also you need to be of the right minimum age, which we’ll say is 15 to be safe. No purchase necessary. And yes, we can win our own contest. If we beat you, you’ll hear about it for sure. The $200,024 prize is the sole responsibility of LetsRun.com.

This competition is in no way associated with the Paris Olympics.

*We aim to keep events open until 10 minutes before each one, but cannot guarantee this.

Please keep in mind that for tie-breaking considerations, we will initially consider the amount of correct first-place votes. If there is still a tie, we will consider the number of correctly picked second places, followed by, if necessary, the number of correctly chosen third places. If there is still a tie, we will hold a random drawing.
