Will Fish has successfully finalized his permanent transfer from Manchester United to Cardiff City, a Championship team.
Fish, 21, who joined the team as a young player, made his senior debut in 2020–2021 as a late substitution in the season’s last away game against Wolves, making him the 240th graduate of our Academy.
Later that year, the defender was sent out on loan to Stockport County. He went on to play for Scottish team Hibernian in the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons.
Will made an impression while on loan at Hibs, scoring a few goals and demonstrating exceptional adaptation to adult football.
The local boy played for the Reds in the USA this summer and was a regular in our preseason training in 2023 and 2024.
Through our Alumni program, a player who has successfully progressed through our youth system will always be invited to return to the club.
