Leicester City are said to have scouted Lillestrom’s Akor Adams.

The 23-year-old forward is the top scorer in the Norwegian Eliteserien so far this season, with 14 goals in 13 matches.

Lillestrom’s sporting director and acting head coach Simon Mesfin confirmed the Foxes were in attendance last Sunday as Nigerian Adams, who played for his country at the 2019 FIFA under-20 World Cup, struck a double in a 4-2 win against Sandefjord.

Leicester’s sister club OH Leuven are said to have had a transfer bid for the youngster rejected this summer.

Representatives from City’s Championship rivals Middlesbrough are also said to have watched Adams against Sandefjord, while Watford are understood to have shown an interest in him.

Everton, a Premier League team, has recently showed interest in acquiring the striker for Leicester City.
