Wrexham AFC pay tribute to former player who was a legend among all

WREXHAM AFC have paid tribute to former player Morgan Gwyn Morgans who has sadly died at the age of 91.

According to the club, Morgans, better known as Gwyn, appeared 33 times for Wrexham AFC at half-back between 1956-1958, scoring twice.

In a statement, the club said that the player, born in Blaenau Ffestiniog, began his footballing career at a relatively late age.

They said: “He would start his career playing for Blaenau Ffestiniog’s reserve team, where after turning up to watch a match, he soon volunteered to play a part when the team were a man short
