On plans’: Wolves have decided they will sell £80k-a-week player to wrexham on one condition- journalist

Wolves reportedly have no interest whatsoever now in offloading striker Fabio Silva, despite claims to the contrary.

The youngster has come back into the fold at Molineux after a productive season out on loan.

Silva has looked sharp in pre-season, and has really made an impression on the fans, who have been giving him a great reception in games.

Silva is seen as a potential solution to the goalscoring issue.

But in recent weeks, there was been speculation that the club could hear offers for him, amid a worrying financial situation.

But last night, journalist Liam Keen allayed fears that Silva could depart.

Fabio Silva now set to stay and play a part for Wolves under Gary O’Neil

Yesterday, there were some claims that Silva had been ‘offered’ to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Wolves fans on social media grew a little concerned.

But Express & Star journalist Liam Keen has claimed that Wolves are no longer open to Silva’s departure this window.

He said on Twitter: “Wolves not interested in selling or loaning Fabio Silva this summer, despite rumours this evening. Club deem him important this season. Player had already decided to stay under Lopetegui – so will be some work to do with O’Neil now in charge – but club committed to Silva.

He said in another Tweet: “The player feeling important under O’Neil will have a say in it too – but Silva is under contract and club want to keep him, so currently no plans to let him go this summer.

Silva made his first Premier League appearance for Wolves since May 2022 when he came off the bench against Manchester United on Monday night.

Silva staying is great news

So it looks like Silva will now be staying with Wolves.

And this is great news, because he’s come back and looked a much improved player.

The £80,000-a-week star looked sharp. And you just know he will be determined to make an impression after a difficult first two seasons at Molineux.

Silva may still want to leave Molineux deep down. But he’s said that while he’s here, he will give his absolute all for the club. And few will doubt that.

Hopefully it happens for him this season. He deserves it to, given the amount of stick he has taken.
