Man Utd starlet 'set to join Man City' despite being 'offered more money' at Old Trafford

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign a Manchester United starlet, according to Fabrizio Romano.

During the summer transfer window, the Blues snapped up top talents in the shape of Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes.

And the club are on the verge of completing a player for the future, with a deal in place to acquire a youngster from cross-town rivals Man United.

According to Romano, the triple winners of last season have agreed to recruit 16-year-old Harrison Parker from the Red Devils.

Man United had hoped to maintain their young center-back and had even given him the highest compensation a youth player could receive.

But he declined their offer in favor of joining Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Man City were not the only team interested in Parker, according to Romano, who claims they beat FOUR other teams to his signature.

He progressed through Arsenal’s youth system before joining Manchester United in 2021.

The transfer to the Etihad club is now complete.

rker is largely regarded as one of the greatest talents in England’s youth circuit, therefore his departure will be devastating for Manchester United.

With Guardiola boasting the likes of Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji, he may have to wait a few years before breaking into the first team.

He’ll want to play under Guardiola and follow in the footsteps of players like Phil Foden, Rico Lewis, and Oscar Bobb, who all came through the club’s junior system.
