Done deal: West Ham United complete another teenager signing this evening who is set to join club

West Ham have announced that teenage midfielder George Earthy has signed a new contract.

Earthy signed a three-year contract with the Hammers, the club announced on their official website on Saturday [23 September].

Earthy joined United when he was six years old and was a crucial member of the under-18 team that won the league and cup double in 2022-23.

“I am delighted to extend my stay with West Ham United,” he said on the club’s website [23 September].

“I’ve been here since I was a kid, and signing a new contract is something I’ve been working really hard on for the past few seasons.”

“I’m excited to continue my journey at West Ham.” It means a lot to play for your favorite team, and this deal is a huge vote of confidence in myself as a player moving forward.”

Earthy has long been regarded as one of the diamonds in West Ham’s youth teams, and he is probably not far away from being considered for first-team involvement.

At the age of 18, the attacking midfielder will be hoping for an opportunity to play in one of the domestic cup competitions.

Earthy has scored two goals in his last two appearances for the U21 squad after shining for the U18 side last season.

This includes a goal in Friday’s [22 September] 3-3 tie with Southampton in Premier League 2.

Earthy appeared in one of the senior team’s summer friendly, coming on as a substitute for Jarrod Bowen in a 3-2 win over Tottenham in Australia.

The next phase is to break into David Moyes’ team for competitive games, which he is quite likely to do within the next 12 months.
