Everton in serious negotiation with PL club to sign 25-year-old electrifying midfielder

Everton is thinking about bringing Adnan Januzaj back to the Premier League.

According to Fichajes, Premier League side Everton are eyeing a January trade for former Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj.

The 28-year-old progressed through the ranks at Brussels and Anderlecht before making his senior debut with Manchester United. While he showed early promise, he never lived up to his full potential and became a regular starter at Old Trafford.

Following a string of failed loan appearances, the Belgian was traded to Real Sociedad in 2017, where he went on to resurrect his career. The Premier League may once again be pushing for the 28-year-old to join Sevilla.

Everton are interested in signing Januzaj and could take advantage if Sevilla release him for free during the January transfer window. The Toffees have spoken with the player’s entourage and have received enough encouragement to believe that a winter agreement is achievable.

Januzaj has failed to make an impression at Sevilla, and the club is willing to cut their losses on him. As things now, Everton are the only club providing him a route out, and the Toffees will want to finalize a deal before another club steps in at the last minute.

Januzag, a dynamic attacker who can play out wide on the flanks as well as as an attacking midfielder, still has enough in his tank to provide the Toffees options. Sean Dyche’s side has struggled for goals this season, and unless they can rediscover their mojo, a third consecutive season in relegation trouble could be on the cards.

While the Merseysiders could need more consistent alternatives, their financial condition makes going big in January all but impossible. Januzag is the best of a dismal collection of possibilities, so it’s up to Dyche to make a move and perhaps create some magic.

The Belgian is a faint shadow of the man who burst out at Manchester United and is, to say the least, inconsistent. However, he is still capable of moments of brilliance, which Everton will be hoping will keep them safe from the humiliation of relegation.
