Everton plotting a shock move to sign Man Utd wonderkid as La Liga outcast considers PL return

According to a new rumor, Everton are considering a surprise January signing for a former Manchester United wonderkid.

There’s no disputing that Everton have battled to find their feet this season, currently sitting in the bottom three.

Sean Dyche’s squad currently has one point on the board and has only scored two goals in their first five games.

Because the club had to skirt Financial Fair Play restrictions in the summer, the players they could sign were limited. In the end, the team signed four players, with Beto being the most notable.

Despite the signing of the Portuguese attacker, it is evident that Everton are weak in the last third and will want to strengthen in that area in January.

Everton are pondering a deal for Sevilla’s Adnan Januzaj, according to Spanish media. Everton appear to be short in wide positions following the sales of Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi.

Januzaj is no stranger to the Premier League, having spent his formative years with Manchester United. As a youth, the winger had a brilliant reputation, but he eventually fell down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal.

Sevilla is available for purchase.

While the Belgian winger is still under contract with the Spanish club until 2026, it appears that Sevilla are willing to transfer him.

Januzaj had his most successful tenure since leaving Old Trafford with Real Sociedad. The winger played for the Spanish club for five years, making over 160 matches.

However, things haven’t gone as planned since moving to Sevilla last year. He spent last season on loan with Istanbul Basaksehir and now appears to be open to fresh opportunities.

The Premier League was interested in Januzaj this summer, with West Ham among the clubs connected with the Belgian playmaker.

Sevilla have had a difficult start to the new season, and it appears that several players may depart the club in January.

Because the Spanish club signed Januzaj on a free transfer in 2022, any money received for the winger will be regarded a profit.

With the 28-year-old yet to play in the league for Sevilla this season, a return to the Premier League could be the best thing for his career right now.
