Leicester: A key Foxes starman has been linked with a move to the PL this afternoon

Leicester City are now looking excellent for a rapid return to the Premier League, but one key player has been linked with a move there.

Will Leicester advance from the Championship?

The Foxes were relegated to the Championship in May, their season unraveling entirely as their performances and results were not even close to being good enough. With new manager Enzo Maresca making an immediate impression and Leicester in terrific form, the feel-good factor appears to be back at the King Power Stadium. They are second in the table after seven games, having dropped only two points, and it would be surprising if they aren’t one of the frontrunners for automatic promotion at the end of the season.

However, Maresca will recognize the importance of retaining significant players rather than potentially losing them during the January transfer window. In that regard, a new update is concerning, with one star guy being connected with a move abroad.

Which Leicester City player is being pursued by a Premier League club?

According to talkSPORT, Fulham are interested in Leicester midfielder Kieran Dewsbury-Hall in the near future:

“Fulham have a soft spot for Leicester midfielder Kieran Dewsbury-Hall.” Fulham’s ability to entice Dewsbury-Hall away from the club he joined as an eight-year-old schoolboy is likely to be dependent on the Foxes’ ability to maintain their quest for automatic promotion. Dewsbury-Hall is under contract until 2027 and is regarded as a crucial player by Leicester manager Enzo Maresca as the club seeks an instant return to the Premier League.”

Dewsbury-Hall is obviously a key figure for Leicester this season, with his quality in midfield undeniable – whether it’s his inventiveness, work rate, or final product. This season, the 25-year-old has already scored twice and registered three assists in the Championship, establishing himself as one of the division’s greatest players, and has started six of his team’s league matches.

Losing Dewsbury-Hall in the middle of the season would be a big setback; watching him depart next summer would also be a setback, even if he has helped Leicester get back into the Premier League by then; and the Foxes’ promotion chances would definitely suffer if this happened.

The lure of joining Fulham might definitely be appealing to the Englishman, but the aim is that he remains loyal to the club he has been with since he was a child and continues to assist them return to the top flight at the first attempt.

Former Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers termed Dewsbury-Hall “wonderful” in the past, and he is undoubtedly one of the first names on the teamsheet, therefore the club must do everything possible to keep him. The fact that he is under contract with the club until the summer of 2027 means that they can demand a high price for him, yet selling him for a high price would still be preferable to keeping him.
