Ivan Toney of Brentford is expected to join West Ham United in the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood, West Ham would be an excellent fit for Ivan Toney.
However, Hammers manager David Moyes may have a new interest in the forward. He is now serving an eight-month ban after admitting to 232 violations of the Football Association’s betting rules (Sky Sports), with four months remaining on his sentence.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Toney wants to leave the Bees for a fee of around £50 million. That’s a lot of money, but Tim Sherwood believes he’d be perfect for West Ham…
Ivan Toney should be signed by West Ham.
Today (September 23rd, 1:25pm), Tim Sherwood was a guest on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.
When asked which club should sign Toney this summer, he responded:
“I believe West Ham.”I believe he is the ideal David Moyes player.”
I believe the 27-year-old striker would be ideal for the Hammers – what a fantastic addition he would be.
However, we are quite unlikely to spend that much money on a striker, especially in January.
I would absolutely love Ivan Toney at West Ham, but there’s no chance of us signing him in my opinion.
