Jamie Redknapp finally reveals the wonderful kid that is making Newcastle winning games

Newcastle United has had a memorable week, which coincided with Sean Longstaff’s recall to the starting XI.

Eddie Howe started Longstaff against Brentford, and the Magpies were able to end their three-game losing streak.

The 25-year-old was impressive, and he backed that up with a fantastic performance against AC Milan. He was outstanding in the San Siro, nearly winning it for Newcastle in stoppage time.

While he was denied in Milan, things were different in Sheffield. Longstaff scored Newcastle’s first of eight goals against the Blades, after Anthony Gordon set him up.

Longstaff’s goal was superbly taken, and it set Newcastle on their way to an overwhelming 8-0 victory. It means the Magpies have won straight Premier League games and have preserved three consecutive clean sheets in all competitions.

To Jamie Redknapp’s pleasure, the local lad has made a significant difference in midfield.

Sean Longstaff, according to Jamie Redknapp, is crucial for Newcastle.

Redknapp was a pundit for Sky Sports Premier League coverage of Sheffield United vs. Newcastle United, and he showered accolades on Longstaff after the game.

“There’s no doubt that this good run has coincided with him being back on the team,” he remarked.

“He gives them energy, legs, and whatever they require in there.” It hasn’t always worked out with Tonali and Guimaraes. He offers it to them.”

Newcastle appears to be in better shape.

Longstaff’s job isn’t glamorous, but he surely keeps us entertained.

Our midfield functions considerably better with him in it, which is something Eddie Howe should consider. Obviously, Bruno Guimaraes is a lock to start, but Longstaff should be considered as well.

That means there is only one open position and plenty of candidates to fill it. Elliot Anderson started in place of Sandro Tonali against Sheffield United. In addition, Joelinton and Joe Willock are still sidelined with injuries.

Howe has a lot of options in the middle of the park, but Longstaff is presently the key to our success.
