Legend advise Tottenham to keep an eagle eye on Italian youngster who could move in 2024

According to his agent, Tottenham Hotspur were interested in Sassuolo’s Armand Lauriente over the summer.

Despite the loss of Harry Kane, Spurs had a successful transfer window, bringing a slew of good players to N17.

Furthermore, Ange Postecoglou joined Tottenham and has led the club to second position in the Premier League.

The January transfer season will be here before we know it, and Tottenham may try to make further acquisitions.

Lauriente’s agent, Roberto Meloni, has now spoken to Tuttomercatoweb about the 24-year-old winger’s future.

Spurs were reportedly interested, while West Ham made an attempt to sign the Frenchman.

Meloni also believes Lauriente might make a move next year, depending on how the season goes.

“I think so, although it will depend on his performance this year,” he stated.

“We were already interested in him, but on a personal level, we didn’t feel like leaving Sassuolo for the sake of change.” It makes no sense to us.

Meloni stated that “Bayer Leverkusen liked him instead of Diaby.”

“Then there was Tottenham’s interest, and it’s no secret that Giuntoli likes him, if he had stayed at Napoli…

“There was an attempt in the Premier League, but he wants to get to an important level, preferring a second season at Sassuolo to confirm himself.”

“He’s getting along well with Dionisi, he’s growing.” Of certainly, he will be on the list of exits with high-level offers next year.”

‘Phenomenal’

Lauriente notably scored a set piece two years ago that was dubbed “one of the best free-kicks ever” by some, including the Ligue 1 website.

His ‘phenomenal’ attempt for Lorient against Nantes in March 2021, which was captured on the league’s official YouTube account, went into the top corner from 40 yards out.

Lauriente has a strong scoring and assisting record at Lorient and is also doing well at Sassuolo.

On Transfermarkt, he is valued at roughly £15 million and might be a potential option for Tottenham in the next two transfer windows.
