The Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid was among the first NBA players to react to the news. On Twitter, the current NBA MVP had an unusual reaction to this major development:

Embiid’s tweet did not identify any names, but it was sent shortly after the Holiday agreement was announced. It goes without saying that the six-time All-Star has been keeping a close eye on all of the league’s summer activities.

The Sixers, on the other hand, have made their own moves this offseason. They have recently added a few free agents, including Kelly Oubre Jr., Mo Bamba, Danny Green, and Patrick Beverley. It goes without saying, though, that none of them have been called blockbusters.

Philly is still working to reach an agreement with free agency star James Harden, who has made it clear that he wishes to depart the team. However, nothing has changed, and the Sixers will field a comparable club next season when they face teams like the rebuilt Bucks and Celtics in the East, among others.
