Everton and 777 Partners are close to reaching an agreement on a new off-field deal

According to a report, Everton are said to be in advanced talks to finalize what could be a controversial off-the-field deal.
What’s the latest news from Everton?
The Toffees have endured a disappointing start to their new Premier League campaign under Sean Dyche, with the club falling short of promising wins over Brentford and Aston Villa with a loss to Luton Town at Goodison Park last time. The club could be in for another fight at the bottom of the Premier League table, currently with just four points from their opening seven top-flight matches.
There is better news off the field, with the possibility of 777 Partners taking full control of the club. The company signed a deal last month to buy back Farhad Moshiri’s entire stake in the club, although the deal still needs to be approved by the Premier League, the FA and the Financial Conduct Authority.
Potential new owners could soon have a lot up their sleeves, with recent reports claiming that Burnley, Leeds and Leicester have written a joint letter to 777 about the possibility of suing the club for 300 million pounds if they are found guilty of breaching Premier League spending regulations. . However, the club appear to be making plans off the field ahead of the 2024/25 season, one of which is a new kit supplier.

Football Insider has shared a report in the last 48 hours about Everton and a potential new kit manufacturer. The Toffees are said to be in advanced talks with Castore over a deal that could be the first commercial deal agreed by 777 Partners.
However, Castore is now facing criticism from Aston Villa, while Newcastle United have activated their early exit clause with the company. There has also been criticism from other clubs they supply including Rangers and Wolves, so a deal with Everton could be controversial.
Who produces Everton’s kits?
Everton are currently partnered with Hummel, however, the deal expires at the end of the current season, which has seemingly led to discussions with Castore. Football Insider adds that Hummel’s contract with Merseyside is worth around £8m per season, a fee higher than Castore would have to pay to any of the clubs they represent.Aston Villa’s men and women’s players have complained about the ‘wet look’ on Castore’s jerseys, and the company is investigating whether there is a short-term solution. So it could be risky for Everton to sign Castore, especially with Newcastle, Rangers and Wolves also seemingly unenthusiastic about the deal.
However, it appears to be a deal to keep an eye on in the coming months, especially with plans being made ahead for a new kit for the 2024/25 season.
