Alex Iwobi was stretchered off the field during the second half of Everton’s FA Cup third-round match against Manchester United.

After a violent tackle with United full-back Tyrell Malacia, the Nigeria international was substituted by Abdoulaye Doucoure after only 51 minutes.

Captain Seamus Coleman was one of the first Everton players to respond, signaling for additional assistance from the Toffees’ medical staff while soothing the midfielder who lay in agony on the turf.

Iwobi, who has been one of the Blues’ top performers this season, appeared to be in pain when he was carried onto a stretcher by medics after a lengthy period on the ground, and quickly pulled his Everton shirt over his face.

While the former Arsenal midfielder’s injury has yet to be confirmed, Lampard will undoubtedly provide an update during his post-match press conference at Old Trafford later this evening.
