Fabrizio Romano reveal Everton agreement with at final stages

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jarrad Branthwaite is close to signing a new contract at Everton, with the agreement now in the final stages after Sean Dyche revealed they had been in talks for “a while.”

On 5 October, the respected journalist announced on Twitter that the 21-year-old will stay at Goodison Park beyond the expiration date of his present contract in 2025.

Everton will benefit from this, as recent rumors suggest Manchester United may be interested in signing Branthwaite after his strong performances under Dyche this season.

This development should raise sentiments around Everton, with fears mounting about the probable takeover by 777 Partners, as well as the team’s performance in the Premier League, with a bit of good news offering much-needed respite.

Branthwaite spent last season on loan with PSV in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he helped them win the Dutch Cup, placing his name on the lips of many scouts and rocketing into the first-team picture at Goodison Park.

His performances since replacing Michael Keane in Dyche’s starting lineup following the 4-0 loss to Aston Villa have been outstanding, with his talent and experience far beyond his years, proving to be a steady and remarkable companion to stalwart James Tarkowski.

The defender will now seek to press on and collect crucial points for his squad as they continue to compete strongly in the Premier League and keep the Toffees out of trouble.
