injury news is that a key player for the Dolphins has been ruled out for two

Terron Armstead has been placed on injured reserve by the Dolphins.

Kendall Lamm, Terron Armstead’s replacement at left tackle, will make his 32nd NFL start and third for the Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins will be forced to play without their Pro Bowl left tackle for the next month.

Terron Armstead was placed on injured reserve after suffering a left knee injury in last Sunday’s 48-20 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. This freed up a roster spot for Friday’s acquisition of receiver Chase Claypool.

The move was unsurprising given that head coach Mike McDaniel stated that Armstead’s knee injury, sustained when a Bills defender curled up underneath his body, will keep him out for several weeks.

Because of NFL regulations, Armstead, who has only played in two games this season due to various injuries, will be out for at least the next four games. The 11-year veteran will be eligible to participate in the November 5th away game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany.

“It shows Terron’s investment in this team,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said, referring to Armstead’s arduous recuperation procedure.

Armstead will be able to practice that week before being listed as one of the team’s eight injured reserve players, and the Dolphins will have a bye the following week.

Will Armstead require further time?
“It will be pretty close,” McDaniel said when asked if the rehab process will coincide with how long Armstead will be on injured reserve. “He’ll be back.” Terron would not squander a week without captaining our team in this case. He is resisting the impulse to play.“He understands the long game of it,” McDaniel added. “He is such a big part of what we are trying to develop in the locker room.”

If Miami decides to keep Armstead out of the Kansas City game, which could affect his postseason seeding, he’ll have a six-week rehabilitation period before facing the Las Vegas Raiders at home on Nov. 19.

While Armstead is out, Kendall Lamm will take over as Miami’s starting left tackle, a role he held in the first two games of the season.

Lamm returns to the starting lineup.
Lamm, a nine-year veteran, has started 31 games in his career and will likely step in for Armstead for the next month unless an injury occurs.

“The Giants have an excellent front seven.” They boast some of the top interior players in the league, as well as a strong edge. But, in my opinion, it’s always about what we do,” Lamm remarked. “The last eight years have been a confidence builder for me…. It will translate to the game if I go out there and do it during practice.”

Kion Smith is the only other tackle on the 53-man roster who isn’t a starter, but Liam Eichenberg, Isaiah Wynn, and Austin Jackson have all played left tackle in an NFL game. The Dolphins also have Ryan Hayes, a seventh-round pick in 2023, Chase Hines, and Alama Uluave on their practice squad, but both are interior linemen.
