Dragons players are allegedly “filthy” toward club administration
Following Ben Hunt’s absence from a party, CEO Ryan Webb and chairman Andrew Lancaster didn’t go.
Last Saturday, Hunt reached 300 NRL appearances.
On Tuesday, the Dragons board fired head coach Anthony Griffin.
Before Anthony Griffin was fired on Tuesday during a board meeting, some disgruntled St. George Illawarra players were said to have ‘given up’ on the team because of bad management.
The head coach was fired after six straight losses, but it can now be said that many of the Red V’s stars were already ‘filthy’ when a number of important club executives skipped a celebration of Ben Hunt’s 300th NRL game last week.
After Magic Round, the squad was on the Gold Coast getting ready for their away match against the Cowboys. They were shocked that the Dragons’ CEO Ryan Webb and chairman Andrew Lancaster had skipped the function at the Royal Pines resort.
In addition, none of the Dragons board members bothered to travel or fly from Sydney to celebrate Hunt’s professional achievement in person.
While Hunt was at Red Hill from 2009 to 2017, Brisbane coach Kevin Walters attended the event with a few Broncos players who are close to Hunt.

They were so dirty, according to one of the participants, that no official attended the event. They were disgusting.
The playing group was reportedly perplexed by the uncertainty surrounding Griffin’s coaching future.
After a continuous six-week drama, “Hook” was ultimately fired on Tuesday as the team sat in 16th place on the NRL standings with only two victories so far this year.
