REPORT: Miami Dolphins provided one key injury

The Miami Dolphins provided one key injury answer Friday when they placed tackle Terron Armstead on injured reservebut it was mostly question marks when it came to the final injury report for their Week 5 matchup against the New York Giants.

The one other answer provided was a positive one, and it involved safety DeShon Elliott, who missed the Buffalo game with a groin injury, not getting a game status designation, meaning he’ll be good to go.

The other starters who missed the game against the Bills — center Connor Williams (groin) and outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips (oblique) — both were listed as questionable.

If Phillips misses the game, then Andrew Van Ginkel would start in his place, though he should get plenty of snaps regardless. With Williams, his backup remains Liam Eichenberg, who made his first career start at center against Buffalo.

GIANTS INJURY REPORT

The Giants ruled out three players Friday, all of them offensive linemen.

The three are left tackle Andrew Thomas, who was taken on pick ahead of Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL draft, guard Shane Lemieux and rookie starting center John Michael Schmitz.
