The agreement to play in the Ricoh Arena between Coventry City Football Club, its owners SISU, and Wasps Holdings Limited is still in the works.

“Our goal and desire is to reach an agreement at the Ricoh Arena, because this is the preferred and best option for Coventry City.” Although a backup ground-share exists to ensure the football club’s sustainability, no one wants to see another groundshare. Information about the negotiated ground-share and our present negotiations with Wasps Holdings Limited is kept private according to mutually signed confidentiality agreements.

“We recognize the frustration and outrage that supporters are feeling and expressing to us about not knowing where their club will play next season, their inability to plan for that season and support Mark Robins and the team, and the length of time that this is taking.” We will provide another update to supporters as soon as we are able.

The Football League has informed Coventry that they cannot be headquartered more than six miles from their current location. St Andrew’s, which is 16 miles west of the Ricoh Arena, can be replaced with Coventry Rugby’s Butts Park, which is within the Football League’s stipulated range.
