In March, the teenager gained his senior diploma in a 5-0 FA Cup triumph over Grimsby Town. Yasin joined Brighton from Swedish club AIK in January for an unknown amount, signing a four-year contract at Amex Stadium. He earned his national team debut at the age of 17 after graduating through AIK’s youth team. He appeared in 48 games for the club, scoring six goals.

Yasin represented Sweden at youth level before earning his first international cap in a friendly against Finland in January. He then earned his second and most recent cap in a friendly against Iceland.

Mark Robins, Sky Blues manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Yasin to Coventry City. “He is a versatile player who can play in the midfield, but mainly centrally, and is technically gifted with pace and energy.

“He had an impressive season at AIK in Sweden, where he played a lot of games for his age group, and is highly rated at Brighton, who signed him in January. We I would like to thank Brighton for allowing Yasin to join us on loan now and we look forward to working with him this season.

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi said:
“It is important that Yasin plays on loan and of course we will monitor his performance.”
