Enzo Maresca’s rotation at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium includes Jannik Vestergaard, Hamza Choudhury, Cesare Casasdei, Yunus Akgun, and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Harry Souttar made his first league start of the season against his former club Stoke.

The Australian international centre-back is one of six players to come into the Leicester City lineup as Enzo Maresca opts to rotate, with the match against the Potters the club’s third in seven days. Jannik Vestergaard, Hamza Choudhury, Cesare Casadei, Yunus Akgun, and Kelechi Iheanacho have all been brought in.

Souttar had previously only played in the cup for Liverpool, but now replaces Wout Faes as Maresca switches his entire back three. Vestergaard replaces Conor Coady, who is returned from suspension, and Choudhury will play in an unusual role on the left side of the back three, with James Justin given a rest.

Casadei replaces Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield, where he will be joined by Harry Winks and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall. Out wide, Yunus Akgun has taken the place of Stephy Mavididi. Abdul Fatawu will most likely move to the left wing, with Yunus on the right.

Then, up front, Iheanacho comes in for Vardy, who would have been starting his third game in seven days had he been selected. With Vestergaard back in the squad, Wanya Marcal is the man to make way.

City (4-3-3): Hermansen; Ricardo, Souttar, Vestergaard, Choudhury; Winks, Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall; Yunus, Iheanacho, Fatawu. Subs: Stolarczyk, Coady, Faes, Justin, Ndidi, Albrighton, Mavididi, Vardy, Daka.
