Washington Commanders in a big trouble…….

The head coach of the Giants, Brian Daboll, hasn’t completely ruled out Daniel Jones for Sunday, but Andrew Thomas won’t be playing either.

Jones’ neck has not been cleared for contact, Daboll informed reporters on Friday, but the quarterback was not on the list of players who won’t play against the Commanders on Sunday. Jones, who missed last Sunday’s game due of a neck ailment, has been throwing at practice this week and will take the field at quarterback if he is given the all-clear before the game.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) questionable to play vs. Commanders

That seems unlikely, and Tyrod Taylor will probably start the next game as well.

While the light is being left on for Jones, the Giants have ruled left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) out for the sixth straight game. That’s longer than the minimum stint on injured reserve, which raises the question of why the Giants didn’t use the list and give themselves a healthy body on the 53-man roster.

Center John Michael Schmitz and tackle Matt Peart are both out with shoulder injuries. Right tackle Evan Neal (hamstring) and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (neck) will be listed as questionable.
