The Celtics have signed Nathan Knight to a two-way contract.
In accordance with the Boston agreement, a 26-year-old substitutes a two-way Boston Roaster player. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Nathan Knight has agreed to a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics.
The 26-year-old forward will replace Jay Scrubb as the team’s third two-way player, joining preseason standout Neemias Queta and summer league standout JD Davison.
Knight joins the Celtics after spending the last two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he will compete for minutes at power forward and center. The undrafted player also appeared in his debut season for the Atlanta Hawks in 2020-21.
He was dismissed three days ago by the New York Knicks, who had him on a two-way deal.
While he has never scored more than four points per game, he has shown flashes of defense and quickness in the playoffs, earning him limited minutes in Atlanta and Minnesota.
