JUST NOW: “really enjoying it here” – Tottenham loanee hints at long-term stay with English club

Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon has stated that he is enjoying his time at Leeds, hinting at remaining at the club for a longer period.

The defender joined the Championship team on loan in the summer and has been on great form since then.

Report: A top rated player has signed a two years contract with Milwaukee Bucks.
The Welshman’s exploits have gained him the admiration of Leeds supporters, and he has established himself as an important member of the team’s backline.

Leeds has one of the strongest defensive records in the Championship under his guidance, with multiple clean sheets and a low amount of goals against.

He stated (as reported by The Leeds Press):

“I am really enjoying it here.”

“It has gotten better and better for me and the group as the weeks have passed.”

“I feel we are improving week by week and that is important, with the targets and journey we are on, we’re getting better each game and the results are coming our way.”

Joe Rodon open to long term stay at Leeds United - The Leeds Press

Rodon has found it hard to find playing time at Tottenham and has spent most of the time away on loan spells.

Spurs signed Micky van de Ven in the summer who has come in and formed a solid partnership with Cristian Romero. The two of them have transformed the Tottenham defense with the back line looking much more reliable now.

Ange is eyeing a couple of more defenders with the likes of Lloyd Kelly. Edmond Tapsoba and Piero Hincapie all linked with a move.

This suggests that Rodon might not have a future at Spurs anymore and a permanent move to the likes of Leeds would actually be a positive move for the Welsh defender.
