The Western Bulldogs have signed a crucial Collingwood player.

Western Bulldogs signing Adam Treloar said Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley told him the Magpies players wanted him out.

Adam Treloar has confirmed claims Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley told him the Magpies’ senior players no longer wanted him at the club ahead of the midfielder’s explosive trade to the AFL.
The 27-year-old became a Western Bulldogs player as soon as the AFL trade deadline ended.
This comes after weeks of rumors being leaked to the media detailing discontent between Collingwood and Treloar, who is under contract with the Magpies until 2025.
Treloar said that, in a meeting with Magpies advisor Buckley has expressed concerns that some players will already have. with the 27-year-old and they believe it is in his best interests to leave.
“That was made clear to me clearly,” Treloar told reporters at Whitten Oval on Friday.
“It hurts me because I know how close I am to the players; to be told that to me when I don’t think it’s true (hurts).
“Heard ‘There are players no’ I don’t want you there when I know the majority of the players love me and care about me.
“They were determined to get me forward so whatever they did it was going to happen.
“It was a fight to the end because that’s where I wanted to be, in Collingwood.
“I guess whatever will be said will keep me going.
“Not a single player came to me and said ‘yes, I contributed to your development’.”
Treloar was one of four Magpies traded on Thursday night as the club attempted to resolve issues surrounding its salary cap.
Collingwood list manager Ned Guy claimed on Thursday night that the Magpies may not have explored a trade had Treloar partner Kim Ravaillion not signed a Super Netball contract to play for the Queensland Firebirds next year .
But the pair began a long-distance relationship the next year and Treloar said he never considered moving to the Brisbane Lions or Gold Coast.
Ravaillion attended Treloar’s first press conference as a Bulldogs player with their daughter Georgie.
“It’s really disappointing (Guy’s comments),” Treloar said.
“The club knew I never wanted to play anywhere else and never wanted to move to Queensland.”
Despite his bitter departure, Treloar says he has no hard feelings towards Buckley or anyone at the club where he played 94 games after arriving in 2016 from Greater Western Sydney.
