A montreal canadiens player returned from injury

The Montreal Canadiens will face the Winnipeg Jets at the Bell Centre tonight. The club is 4-2-1, which is better than most expected before the season began, and they just got a significant boost before facing the Jets.

Kaiden Guhle will return to the lineup after missing four games due to injury, the team confirmed this morning. He exited the Montreal Canadiens’ loss to the Minnesota Wild early due to an upper body injury and has not played since October 17th

2020 Draft Preview: Kaiden Guhle - The Copper & BlueGuhle, the Canadiens’ first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, has developed into a top-four defender on the team at the age of 21 and appears to be an important part of the organization’s future. That is both physically and metaphorically true, as the 6’3″ left shot defender will see a lot of action in all scenarios for this squad over the next decade.

In the Canadiens’ first two games of the season, he played nearly 20 minutes against the Toronto Maple Leafs and 17:03 against the Chicago Blackhawks. There is some internal competition for ice time, but Guhle appears to be settling into a top four role on the left side behind Mike Matheson.

When he was initially ruled out, the team indicated he would be out for some time, and there was conjecture online that he would be gone for a lengthy period. Fortunately for the Canadiens, Guhle will be back on the ice in just ten days after avoiding a major injury.

With Christian Dvorak yet to make his season debut, Kirby Dach out for the season after just two games, and David Savard now out indefinitely, it’s fantastic to have Guhle back to contribute on the back end.
