Alabama coach Nick Saban provided an update on quarterback Bryce Young’s shoulder injury suffered in the win against Arkansas on Monday, as well as a preview of Saturday’s SEC matchup versus Texas A&M. Saban’s comments on Young’s injury and other injured Tide players may be seen in the video above.
“He’s got a little shoulder injury.” “It’s not a long-term injury; he’ll be day-to-day,” Saban explained. “He’ll be day-to-day when he can throw again, and we’ll just have to evaluate it day by day.” So I can’t tell you if that will be today, tomorrow, or the next day.”
When asked about probable alterations to Alabama’s offensive playbook as a result of Young’s injury, Saban became slightly angry.
“Again, I don’t talk to Jimbo on a regular basis, but I’ll call him and tell him right after the conference if you want me to,” Saban added with a laugh. “Do you believe I’m going to tell you what we’re going to do with our offense and team?” You could just make it up.”

Saban and Alabama are preparing for Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M’s visit, which has been greatly anticipated since the Tide’s upset loss in College Station last season and the offseason controversy between the coaches. Alabama is a 24-point underdog against the Aggies.\
Saturday’s kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The primetime game will be broadcast on CBS.
