Fans express joy as Titans coach Mike Vrabel finally decided who is starting QB for next week Sunday against Buccaneers

Titans coach Mike Vrabel has not chosen who will start as quarterback against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

Will Levis has started the last two games in place of Ryan Tannehill, who has been out with an ankle injury, but when asked whether he is ready to name a starting quarterback for next week, Vrabel answered no.

“No, I’m not ready to do that just yet,” Vrabel told SI.com. “Think we’ll have a conversation with the depth chart over the weekend and we’ll have the depth chart or something close to it available when we talk to you on Tuesday to be able to go through the moving parts and not only Ryan’s health, but whatever there is going on on the offensive line, which there is coming out of that game.”

Vrabel stated that he will not comment on whether Tannehill will reclaim his starting job as long as it is a hypothetical and Tannehill has not been cleared to return.

“When Ryan is healthy I will have a decision for you,” Vrabel was quoted as saying.

Tannehill was struggling this season prior to the injury, and the Titans were only 2-4. Levis looked fantastic in his first start, leading the Titans to a win against the Falcons, but struggled in Thursday night’s loss to the Steelers.

If the 3-5 Titans are to make a push for the playoffs in the second half of the season, they will need consistent quarterback play, but Vrabel isn’t sure who that quarterback play will come from.
