Treylon Burks of the Tennessee Titans suffered a heavy fall after a near-catch deep down the left sideline on a fourth-and-4 pass from rookie quarterback Will Levis with 2:16 remaining in their 20-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Thursday Night Football.” After diving for the football, the 23-year-old did not get up and had to be carried off the field. Following the game, head coach Mike Vrabel delivered an encouraging update on the former first-round choice.
“Trey is alert and moving, and I’ll have more information tomorrow,” Vrabel stated via Jim Wyatt. “The way it looked … he’s alert and the training room will evaluate him.”

According to ESPN, Burks was already walking on his own as he left the locker room and interacted with one of the Titans coaches before boarding the team bus.
According to Wyatt, Vrabel told reporters on Friday that Burks is in the concussion protocol and was on his way to the team facility.
“He is in concussion protocol,” Titans general manager Mike Vrabel stated, according to the team’s official website. “There was a brief loss of consciousness, which is why (medical personnel) reacted the way they did.” Everyone seemed to have done exactly what they were expected to do in accordance with protocol, ensuring Treylon’s well-being was examined as promptly and correctly as possible.”
Overall, a positive update on what was a very scary scene Thursday night.
