SCHEDULE: Injury update for the Hurricanes game, which is set to begin shortly.

On Saturday, November 11th, FSU football will face its archrival Miami Hurricanes in a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium.

Fans were eagerly awaiting the announcement of the kickoff time for the Seminoles’ game against the Hurricanes. On Sunday afternoon, it was agreed that Florida State would play Miami on ABC at 3:30 p.m. EST.

I completely understand why most people wanted a night game at Doak Campbell Stadium, considering that there will be several highly-touted prospects in attendance and the stadium’s atmosphere is unrivaled.

However, head football coach Mario Cristobal and his team were trounced on the road by the North Carolina State Wolfpack, 20-6, and therefore missed out on the opportunity to play Florida State under the lights.

While the Hurricanes have a 6-3 record this season, it appears that the program down South is always rejuvenated as they treat this as an opportunity to spoil their rival’s undefeated season as they look forward to a great trajectory heading into Cristobal’s third season in Coral Gables.

Given the significance of the rivalry game, the Florida State football team understands what is at risk. While the Seminoles are coming off a lackluster performance (a victory is a victory in college football) at the hands of the Pittsburgh Panthers by a score of 24-7, this could be an ideal time to iron things out.

Miami will want to give Florida State an A+ effort in order to leave Tallahassee with a much-needed win. I understand that fans were eager for Tallahassee to host a College GameDay, especially because this could be Lee Corso’s final year on the show.

Nonetheless, FSU fans will hopefully be able to celebrate another victory over the Hurricanes soon.
