The Louisville Cardinals were historically bad last season, finishing the 2022-23 season with a 4-28 record on the year. It doesn’t look like things will be much better this season, that is if their exhibition game against Division 2 school Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday night.
Kentucky Wesleyan wasn’t anything special last season against much worse competition in Division 2, going just 15-14 on the year.
They also lost an exhibition game to a Division 2 team last year as well, falling to Lenoir-Rhyne 57-47 a year to the day after their loss to Kentucky Wesleyan.
Maybe Louisville will perform better once the regular season comes around. But it certainly seems like they could be in for a repeat of last season where they were amongst the worst teams in all of college basketball
