And the ex-Iowa State standout reportedly “looked good,” per Lions writer Matt Broder.

The team’s injury report had no names on it.

Center Frank Ragnow, who’s been grappling with a toe issue, and guard Jonah Jackson, who’s been dealing with a high ankle sprain, have also returned to practice.

Montgomery registered a brilliant start to the 2023 NFL season.

The fifth-year running back rushed for 385 yards on 94 carries in the first five games, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt.

He scored six touchdowns, three of which came in the 34-20 win over the Gren Bay Packers.

Montgomery might have to share backfield responsibilities with rookie Jahmyr Gibbs upon his return, though.

The 12th overall pick flourished in his absence, scoring two touchdowns in Detroit’s last two outings.

Gibbs logged 220 rushing yards in those two games on 37 carries.

Week 10 could also see the Arizona Cardinals having two of their stars back.

Quarterback Kyler Murray is on course to make his season debut after nursing an ACL injury since the end of the 2022 campaign.

Meanwhile, running back James Conner has been designated to return from IR ahead of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after suffering a knee injury in Week 5.
