LATEST NEWS: Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffers gruesome cut on his arm in

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was left bloodied in the NFL’s first ever Black Friday game, after suffering a gruesome cut on his right arm.

The game was not even a quarter old when the camera cut to Tagovailoa walking off the field, seemingly unaware that he had a huge chunk of skin missing on his arm.

Fans were quick to react to the horrifying injury, which is likely to affect the quarterback’s impressive tattoo

One viewer wrote: ‘Tua’s arm is literally missing a huge chunk,’ while another added: ‘Damn, Tua gonna have to get that tattoo touched up when that chunk grows back.’

Seemingly used to far worse during NFL games, the 25-year-old got himself patched up during a break in play and didn’t miss any action for the Dolphins in their AFC East match-up against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Tua has struggled with concussions over the last year, and perhaps will be grateful that his latest injury simply involves a bit of blood and not a huge hit from an opposition pass-rusher.

In the game itself, the Dolphins went in 7-3 and already top of the division, looking to further cement their spot at the top above the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills, who are 6-5, face the Eagles, Chiefs and Cowboys in their next three, while the Dolphins have a far more favorable run against the Commanders, Titans and Jets again.

Tagovailoa, meanwhile, is having an impressive season, averaging 8.5 yards per passing attempt, above his career average of 7.7.
