Sad News: Jaguars RB Travis Etienne returns vs. Steelers after suffering knee injury

The Jacksonville Jaguars are leading 9-3 in the third quarter of their Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Running back Travis Etienne briefly left the game with a knee injury but is back on the field.

Etienne got hurt in his first carry of the second half. Overall, he had 15 carries for 61 yards before leaving. Rookie Tank Bigsby then replaced him in the lineup and proceeded to lose a fumble. Fortunately, Etienne has returned.

All things considered, this hasn’t been a great outing for the Jags. Although they’re in control of the game, they’ve also left several points on the scoreboard. Bigby’s fumble was their third turnover of the game.

In the first half, tight end Evan Engram lost another ball and the Steelers recovered. Then, Trevor Lawrence threw a pass into triple coverage to Calvin Ridley in the Pittsburgh end zone and got intercepted.

In non-related news, Kenny Pickett has been ruled out for the game with a rib injury. Mitch Tribisky has taken over at quarterback for the Steelers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense aren’t giving the Pittsburgh Steelers a break

The Jaguars’ defense has stood up to the occasion, keeping the Steelers in check for most of the first half. It wasn’t until their fifth offensive drive, that Pittsburgh managed to get their first first down of the game. Whether it’s Kenny PIckett or Mitch Tribisky under center, the pass rush has been bringing the heat. Both Josh Allen and Travon Walker each has registered a sack.
