Day might only lose one of the backup quarterbacks to the transfer portal if he chooses to avoid using it. Alternatively, he could swing it as an open competition once more, in which case Noland would have an instant chance to compete.

This means McCord will hit the portal as well. This choice would be shocking to the entire team as well as the college football community. With McCord’s name, 12-1 record, and starting background, offensive coordinators and head coaches will be drooling.
