LATEST NEWS: A Steelers rival has announced his retirement.

A former Pittsburgh Steelers rival and one of the most electric wide receivers in recent NFL history is calling it a career and retiring, he announced this week.

DeSean Jackson, known primarily for his long career with the Philadelphia Eagles but also a former Baltimore Raven who battled with the Steelers at the end of his career, has officially retired.

Jackson, a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro selection led the NFL in yards per reception four different times during his 14-year career. His career mark of 17.6 yards per reception ranks 39th all-time in NFL history and his four career punt returns for touchdowns are 21st all-time in league history.

In six career games against the Steelers during his long career, he caught 21 passes for 280 yards and no touchdowns.

Jackson has been out of the league entirely this year after appearing in seven games for the Ravens in 2022.
