A key player made a bad decision: “I wish I had never played for the Cincinnati Bengals

Ted Karras isn’t happy about the Bengals’ three-game losing streak as he practiced with an edge on Thursday. Cincinnati is an 8.5-point underdog against the 8-3 Jaguars on Monday Night Football.

They have not lost four games in a row during Karras’s time as a Bengal (five-game losing streak Week 10-14 in 2020).

“I think we need a win just to get a win,” Karras said on Thursday. “Our job is to help this team win ballgames. So we’ve been on a skid here, and no one loves that. It’s a nice edgy Wednesday, or Thursday, but Wednesday practice. So we’re bringing the energy and we got a big primetime game against a team fighting for the one seed in this conference. So it’d be nice to go knock them off on Monday Night Football.”

The Bengals may get Tee Higgins back from a hamstring injury this week, so maybe that can push them over the winning finish line. Although, at 5-6 with a 2.5% chance to make the playoffs, Cincinnati may be better off losing more to lock in a top-10 draft pick during each round of the 2024 NFL Draft to add more nitrous to the Joe Burrow era.

“I’m just a little angry,” Karras said about the “edgy” practice. “That’s how I like to play a little bit sometimes. So that’s it.”
