Cam Coleman received a fresh suspension today by the Auburn -Report

It surprised everyone when five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman committed to Texas A&M in the summer.

Now that former Aggies’ head coach Jimbo Fisher is out of the picture, the Tigers pounced on their opportunity to get right back into Coleman’s recruitment.

The five-star prospect has flipped from A&M and has committed to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers, per his social media.

Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 7 player in the country, Coleman’s 6-foot-4 and 190-pound frame combine extremely well with his elusiveness and tremendous catch radius. In short, Coleman has shown the physical skills and football IQ to one day be a college football star.

The Tigers have been looking for a bigger-bodied receiver to utilize on the outside since the departure of Seth Williams in 2020. Coleman could end up being that dude.

Hugh Freeze was known at Ole Miss for finding success with taller, physical receivers that could knock defenders down and make contested catches.

The Tigers are lucky to have landed Coleman’s services, given the pursuit from so many other prestigious programs.

Auburn has now flipped two five-star receivers from SEC West this year, with Cam Coleman joining Perry Thompson (formerly committed to Alabama) in the Tigers’ 2024 class.

Coleman may not be the last five-star WR Auburn flips. Ryan Williams, who is currently committed to Alabama, is being pursued hard by Freeze and his coaching staff.
