JUST IN: Miami Heat confirmed the trade of excellent player from…..

The Bulls’ star has declared his preferred trade destinations.

DeMar DeRozan isn’t asking the Chicago Bulls for a trade. But if that does happen, he knows exactly where he wants to go.

In trade speculations, it seemed like every elite player in the NBA has been linked to the Miami Heat, and DeRozan is no exception.

After pursuing Damian Lillard aggressively in the offseason, the Heat essentially remained pat, making no major moves other from acquiring depth pieces. While the Heat’s offense remains in the middle of the pack, DeRozan would provide a much-needed additional creator with Jimmy Butler while Tyler Herro is out.

The Knicks have been linked to a number of elite players, including Donovan Mitchell, but have yet to finalize any deals. While DeRozan’s contract is about to expire, he matches Knicks general manager Scott Perry’s stated goal of acquiring a player who can “create some more offense off the dribble for himself and his teammates.”

Next summer, New York will have four first-round picks, though the protected picks of the struggling Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards are unlikely to transfer. However, if they wanted to, they could easily outbid any other team for DeRozan.

There’s also the Los Angeles Lakers, who DeRozan expected to join in the 2021-22 season until trading for Russell Westbrook instead.

Regardless, if a player is open about his favorite trade destinations, he won’t be with his present team for long. The era of DeMar DeRozan in Chicago is coming to an end.
