Carolina Panthers Hayden Hurst Diagnosed With Deadly And Traumatic Illness.

Hayden Hurst’s father, Jerry, shared that the former Cincinnati Bengals tight end has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Amnesia by an independent neurologist.

Jerry confirmed the news and provided an update via X (formerly Twitter).

Slow recovery, don’t know when he’ll be back ,’ Jerry wrote. ‘Prayers appreciated.’

Hurst suffered the injury during Carolina’s 16-13 loss to the Chicago Bears on November 9.

Hurst. 30, is currently listed as questionable with no timeline for his return.

In Hurst lone season with the Bengals he collected 52 reception s for 414yards and two touchdowns.

Hurst signed a three-year, $21million contract to join the Panthers in March and so far has 18 catches for 184 yards this season.

The Panthers have been struggling all season and with a 1-11 record at the bottom of the NFC South.

Carolina has five games remaining, starting with the New Orleans Saints on December 10.
