A clear and troubling news Gold Coast key player ruled out due to shoulder injury

THE Gold Coast Titans have had to make another lineup change after back rower Ben Ridge was ruled out of Monday night’s NRL match against South Sydney.

The Gold Coast is already missing forwards Nate Myles and Greg Bird (Origin), and the new halves pairing of Daniel Mortimer and Maurice Blair is still getting to know each other.

Ridge worked out with the Titans’ rehabilitation group, and coach John Cartwright later confirmed that his shoulder injury was not up to the task of facing a strong Rabbitohs pack.

The good news for Cartwright is that halfback Albert Kelly has been training hard in his comeback from a leg injury and is set to replace him on the bench.

Gold Coast is gearing up for a big game to commemorate forward Mark Minichiello’s 250th game and avoid a club record seventh straight loss.
