A clear and sounding news for Falcons fans

FLOWERY BRANCH, Georgia – A large number of Falcons players are listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers. The vast majority of those listed are starting linemen.

The only players ruled out of the game by the Falcons on Friday were starting tackle Kaleb McGary, who missed last week’s game with a knee injury, and defensive lineman Kentavius Street (pectoral), whom head coach Arthur Smith ruled out earlier in the week.

On offense, starters Drew Dalman (ankle), Chris Lindstrom (ankle), and Jake Matthews (knee) were all listed as questionable. Dalman, like McGary, did not play against the Buccaneers last Sunday, but Matthews and Lindstrom were injured in the game. In the second round, only Lindstrom was able to return.

The Falcons offensive line could include any of the three starters listed above and/or reserve linemen Ryan Neuzil, Tyler Vrabel, and Kyle Hinton, all of whom saw action last week, as well as Storm Norton, who started in McGary’s vacant right tackle spot.

On defense, the Falcons ruled out David Onyemata (ankle), Nate Landman (knee), Bud Dupree (back), and LaCale London (knee). Onyemata and Landman both missed the Falcons’ game against the Buccaneers after being injured in the Falcons’ win over the Jets two weeks ago at MetLife Stadium.

Meanwhile, Jeff Okudah (who also missed last Sunday’s game due to a lingering Week 13 injury) practiced fully this week. He was not assigned a game, implying that the Falcons will have him available in Charlotte.

Though the Falcons’ injury report contains as many questions as answers, Atlanta did see progress with all of the players listed above with questionable status. Dalman, Lindstrom, Matthews, Onyemata, Landman, and Dupree all took part in a limited no-pads practice on Friday.
