REPORT: Titans Rule Out Four Players in Final Injury of

This week’s divisional matchup pits the Tennessee Titans against the Houston Texans, who are both dealing with injuries. The Titans ruled out four players on Friday, while Houston ruled out three of their own.

Tennessee Titans Week 15 Final Injury Report

The Titans’ wide receiver Kyle Philips and tight end Josh Whyle were among those ruled out on Friday after failing to practice all week. Jeffery Simmons, the star defensive lineman, was also ruled out, but this was expected after he was injured in Week 14.

Teair Tart, the fourth player, is a nose tackle. However, there are rumors that Tart is being fired from the team, but we have yet to see official confirmation, and that situation deserves its own discussion.

Four Titans will be questionable heading into Sunday. Denico Autry, who is having a career year rushing the passer, will be among them. Given that Simmons is already out and Tart may be cut, his presence would be greatly missed.

Linebacker Jack Gibbens, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, and wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are also on the list. All three are key starters for the Titans and could be huge losses with the Titans thin at all three positions.

The Texans are even worse off. Will Anderson, a talented edge rusher, has been ruled out, as have starting linebacker Blake Cashman and corner Tavierre Thomas. Starter offensive tackle George Fant and standout wide receiver Nico Collins are both questionable but are not expected to play.

This brings us to C.J. Stroud, who was still in concussion protocol at Friday’s practice and had not practiced all week. Houston’s message this week has been about Stroud’s long-term health, which could indicate the star rookie quarterback will not be available.
