As if a third consecutive loss wasn’t bad enough, the Steelers’ situation worsens.

Cam Heyward, the team’s star defensive tackle, has been placed in concussion protocol.

Heyward hasn’t had the best luck with injuries this season. In Week 1, he suffered a groin injury that necessitated surgery, forcing him to miss the team’s next six games.

T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith were both in concussion protocol this week in preparation for the Colts game, but both were cleared to play, which could bode well for Heyward’s chances against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.
