Will Levis’ promising rookie season has been derailed by what appeared to be a frightening injury in the Tennessee Titans’ overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

Fortunately, it does not appear to be serious.

Levis was selected by the Titans in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and took over as the team’s starting quarterback midway through the season. On October 29th, he threw for four touchdowns in his NFL debut against the Atlanta Falcons. He’s had two multi-touchdown games since then, and he’s thrown for more than 200 yards in four of his eight starts.

Unfortunately, Levis took a hard hit against the Texans in Week 15 that knocked him out of the game, and it appeared to be a serious injury at the time.

Levis did end up walking away from this after a few minutes on the ground, so things may have turned out better than expected. The extent of his injury is unknown, but he did postgame media interviews, so it doesn’t appear to be too serious.

The Titans will face the Seahawks in Week 16, but a loss will eliminate Tennessee from playoff contention.

If healthy, the young quarterback is expected to start the rest of the season, and at only 24 years old, the reps could be crucial.

Having said that, let’s hope he doesn’t miss much or any time, despite how bad the blow appeared to be.
