Done Deal: He agree a $750m contract to join Broncos

BRISBANE BRONCOS HAS AGREED FOR $750 DEAL WITH.

Kurt Capewell, a second-rower who won a premiership, was released by the Broncos right away and signed a three-year contract with the Warriors.

In recent weeks, Capewell was seen meeting with Warriors coach Andrew Webster; despite having a contract that expires at the end of 2024, the Broncos are suddenly letting him go.

The second-rower was honored by Broncos coach Kevin Walters after he led the team to a grand final appearance this season.

In laying the groundwork for the club to turn things around, Capes has been a key player for us over the last few seasons, both on and off the field, Walters said in a statement.

“After joining our team in 2021, he has quickly made a significant impression. He is a terrific servant of our game and a lovely guy.

There aren’t many individuals who can speak poorly of Kurt.

“On behalf of everyone at the Broncos, I’d like to thank Capes for all his efforts at the club and we wish him well.”

The 30-year-old is saying goodbye to his friends before moving over the ditch, according to the Warriors.

The Warriors’ general manager, Andrew McFadden, stated that the intention has always been to sign Capewell right away.

“We’re thrilled to be able to lock in a player of Kurt’s quality and experience immediately,” he stated.

“We put out a long-term offer in the hopes of luring Kurt to the club starting in 2024 because we had room in our roster. We appreciate the Broncos’ assistance in enabling him to depart early.

“Quite apart from what Kurt will provide as a player, he’ll be immensely valuable with his experience in a mentoring role for the young back rowers we have coming through the club.”

Webster, who coached the Panthers when Capewell won a premiership there, had nothing but praise for his new addition.

He declared, “Kurt is a winner with amazing work ethic and passion.”

“I had a great time working with him at Penrith, and I’m confident that he will make a significant contribution to our team and the club as a whole.

“He totally fits the profile of the type of player we want.”

When Capewell joined the Broncos in 2022, he participated in 43 games.
